How We Work

Gotham Injury is a medical referral agency. Our sole purpose is to connect New York accident victims with qualified, licensed medical providers who specialize in treating injuries sustained in car accidents, slip-and-fall incidents, construction site accidents, and other personal injury situations.

We earn flat referral fees from medical providers and attorneys in our network. These are fixed fees — not percentages of your settlement or case value. Our compensation is the same regardless of the outcome of your case.

No patient ever pays Gotham Injury anything — not now, not later, not from settlements, not ever.

We are not a law firm. We do not provide legal advice. We do not take a percentage of settlements. We do not make legal decisions on your behalf. Our role is strictly limited to connecting you with the right medical and, if you choose, legal professionals for your situation.

Every medical provider in the Gotham Injury network is independently licensed in New York State. Our network includes:

• Board-certified orthopedic surgeons and specialists
• Neurologists experienced in traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries
• Pain management specialists
• Licensed physical therapists
• Chiropractors
• Diagnostic imaging centers (MRI, CT scan, X-ray)

All medical treatment decisions are made exclusively between the doctor and the patient. Gotham Injury does not influence, direct, or control any aspect of medical treatment. Your doctor determines what care you need based on your injuries and medical history — not based on any referral relationship with us.

Providers in our network bill No-Fault insurance directly. This means there is zero cost to you for medical treatment related to your accident, as provided under New York's No-Fault insurance system.

Attorney referrals are completely optional.

You never need to use an attorney to access our medical referral services. Our primary service is connecting you with medical providers, and that service is available to you whether or not you choose to work with an attorney.

If you do choose to be connected with a personal injury attorney, the following applies:

• You are free to select your own attorney at any time — you are never required to use an attorney we refer
• Referred attorneys work on a contingency basis, meaning there is no upfront cost to you
• You can stop working with any referred attorney at any time, for any reason
• Your decision about legal representation has no effect on your access to medical referrals through Gotham Injury

We take every concern seriously. If you are unsatisfied with any aspect of our service, you have multiple options:

• Email your concern through our contact form at gothaminjury.com. Include as much detail as possible so we can investigate and respond.
• File an external complaint. You may also contact the New York State Department of Health regarding any medical provider, or the New York State Bar Association regarding any attorney.

Gotham Injury operates in full compliance with New York State insurance regulations and applicable laws governing medical referral services.

We maintain all proper licensing and registration required to operate as a medical referral agency in the State of New York. Our business practices are designed to meet or exceed regulatory requirements.

We cooperate fully and transparently with any regulatory inquiries from state agencies, insurance departments, or other oversight bodies. We believe that compliance is not a burden — it is a foundation of the trust our clients place in us.

We encourage you to independently verify the credentials of any provider we refer you to. Transparency means giving you the tools to confirm what we already know — that every provider in our network is fully licensed and in good standing.

Protecting your personal information is a fundamental part of how we operate. We handle your data with the same care and confidentiality you would expect from any medical or legal professional.
